Week 2
In our second week working at this farm the work has picked up a little bit. For the first two days we worked with this dude named Morgan who ran a landscaping company. Morgan was a really nice dude but was very cutthroat. When we first arrived to the job site Morgan told us I like being on time and having my jobs done right. That day Morgan taught me a really important valuable lesson of not rushing through your work and doing it properly. At the end the first day all of the boys were tired and all we wanted to do was kick back our feet and relax. We did work like this for the first two days and it was truly exhausting. After we were done working with Morgan we went back to work in the farmer gym. Farmer Jim had us working in the fields again. Our first day back we dealt with a lot of the cattle and just making sure everything was right and they had enough hay and water. Farmer Jim was very enthusiastic about his work, But however when it came to the second week he started to treat us more like workers, because we’ve been there for around a week and we knew what we were doing. Honestly I like this week better because when we were working it seemed like he showed us a little more respect and he wanted us to succeed. This entire week has been really fun and he showed us really important valuable lessons about getting your work done properly. This really seemed like the ongoing theme with everyone we worked with throughout our time in Detroit Michigan.
